  1. Y’know, last time I was at Trader Joe’s I picked up a box of Irish Breakfast.

It tastes like tea. That’ll happen when there’s no *fruit* in it.

  2. ok, that’s true — i’ve had trader joe’s irish breakfast. it’s a decent irish breakfast.

i think (and this is pure conjecture) that tj’s gets their tea from a bunch of random different (cheap) sources and all they do is state their packaging and then retail it. so the quality varies… *alot*

aaand tea + ____ (things) can be amazing. moroccan tea, gen mai cha, fruit tea D:~

  3. Hello, I was googling Trader Joe’s Irish Breakfast tea and ended up here. I have been trying tea from TJ and luckily I haven’t bought any of the tea you mentioned here, they sure don’t sound too good! I thught of getting the blueberry tea though, I didn’t.
The Irish Breakfast tea is really strong and perfect with milk and sugar. Personally I never liked green tea they sell in those stores – I grew up in Japan drinking real green tea every day and … yeah. They also never mention green tea must be brewed with warm water (approx. 145-160F) although otherwise it will lose the scent and get really blend. (I know a lot of people don’t like green tea because “it tastes blend” … doh) It is really hard to drink good green tea so I just ask my family in Japan to send tea they buy from the local stores.
My other favorite tea is Paradise’s Tropical Iced Tea they carry at TJ, and TAZO’s Earl Grey. :)

  4. I was reading my post and see typos.. oops

  5. i think you really hit upon the problem with green tea that comes in tea bags… its just not the same. black tea you can get away with, especially with plenty of milk & sugar… but green tea, you really have to have to the whole leaf.

    have you tried online retailers?
http://www.adagio.com in particular is where i’m getting most of my tea from nowadays

    and oh, we’ve moved our site — http://www.aqueousphase.org :)

best of luck w/your future tj teas!
